Old West Main Street Project – Roadway Closure of Jackson Street

0Comments

The City of Red Wing would like to inform you that Jackson Street from Old West Main Street to Levee Road is planned to be closed on Friday, September 16. The closure is necessary to complete some investigative potholing for the planned upcoming watermain installation underneath the railroad tracks. The closure is anticipated for one day to complete the investigation work and then Jackson Street will be reopened.

A longer duration closure of Jackson Street from Old West Main Street to Levee Road is planned to start on Wednesday, September 21, and remain in affect for an unknown amount of time but anticipated to be until late October in order to construct the new underground utilities and concrete pavement. Detour signing will be in place.

Motorists are encouraged to stay alert and drive carefully through all work zones and use alternate routes whenever possible. Questions may be directed to Jay Owens, City of Red Wing Engineer, at 651-385-3625.  Visit the project website for additional information.
