Rep. Pam Altendorf, a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, has recently shared several opinions and claims on her Twitter account about oil prices and election security.

On April 17, 2026, Altendorf commented on recent fluctuations in oil prices following developments in the Strait of Hormuz. She wrote, “After so much hand-wringing and selfies at the gas pumps blaming Trump THEN just like that…. Iran opens the Strait Oil prices crash ️ you all know what that means for future gas prices……. #WINNING”.

Later that same day, Altendorf addressed Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon regarding election integrity. In her tweet from April 17, 2026, she stated: “Dear @MNSteveSimon, “HIGH TURNOUT” means absolutely nothing if you REFUSE to secure our elections! Most Minnesotans would prefer to see you brag about election integrity and advocating for: Transparency Accuracy Security Fairness You say they are “secure”, but you”.

Two days later, on April 19, 2026, Altendorf raised concerns about voter registration lists outside Minnesota. She posted: “VOTER ROLLS: found 350,000 dead people and 25,000 non-citizens on 60 million voter registrations that the DOJ was allowed access (not MN – other states (mostly red states) who cooperated with the federal government) Here in MN….. Secretary of State Steve Simon claims our”.

Election security has been a topic of national debate in recent years. While concerns about accuracy and transparency persist among some elected officials and members of the public, multiple studies have shown no evidence of widespread voter fraud or significant inaccuracies in state-managed voter rolls across the United States.
