Rep. Keith Allen (R-Kenyon) announced on April 27 the death of Janesville Mayor Andrew Arnoldt, who passed away after a battle with cancer.

The loss of Mayor Arnoldt is significant for the Janesville community, as he had served as mayor since 2021 and was known for his dedication to public service and commitment to local development.

“The Janesville community has lost a dedicated public servant and friend,” said Rep. Allen. “Mayor Arnoldt believed deeply in Janesville and what it could be. Over his tenure as mayor since 2021, he served the community with vigor, pride, and a genuine commitment to making Janesville a better place for all who live there.”

Arnoldt’s leadership guided the city through various challenges and opportunities during his time in office. He was recognized for fostering initiatives that supported local growth and strengthened community ties.

“Andrew’s legacy will live on in the work he did and the relationships he built throughout our community,” Allen said. “My heart goes out to his family, his loved ones, and everyone in Janesville who was touched by his service and friendship.”
