City of Cleveland issued the following announcement.
The Governor declared a Peace Time State of Emergency and recommended the cancellation or postponement of large gatherings of 250 or more people. The City of Cleveland is recommending cancelling or postponing large gatherings of any size if social distancing cannot be maintained. Recommending the cancelling or postponement of gatherings of 10 or more if the group includes those individuals who are at increased risk.
It is also important that you keep yourself informed about restrictions from your affiliated organizations and official instructions from public health officials. The best source of information continues to be the Minnesota Department of Health www.health.state.mn.us and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention www.cdc.gov.
To help mitigate the spread of the virus and to comply with the recommendations of the State,the City will be taking the following steps. These steps are being implemented to protect city staff and the community as a whole.
- City Hall will not be open to the public.
- Please continue to use the utility payment drop box located to the left side of the main door.
- Regular council meetings will continue for the time being. This may change depending on recommendations of the Department of Health.
- Non-essential functions of the City may be suspended.
- Groups who use the City Hall for meetings and events are cancelled until at least May 1st,2020.
- Pet license renewal deadline of May 1st has been moved to July 1st, 2020.
- The on-sale portion of the Municipal Liquor Store is closed but off-sale will still be available.
