20 percent of applicants to Carleton College were admitted for fall 2018

At Carleton College, 100 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 50 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Northfield enrolled 2,097 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 0.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

16 percent of undergraduates are residents of Minnesota, and 72 percent are residents of other states. 12 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (60 percent) and Asian (8 percent).

The school admitted 20 percent of the 7,092 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 38 percent enrolled.
