Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement.
Kelly Nygaard, who currently acts as the Main Street Coordinator and Marketing Manager, has been promoted to Tourism Director, effective January 2021. Kelly is a graduate of
Faribault High School, and went onto South Central College for general education credits before graduating from the University of Minnesota- Morris. She previously worked full
time in radio, while also working part time with the Faribault Chamber, and became a full time Chamber employee in 2017. During that time, she has been directly involved in the
tourism and marketing work, attending industry conferences, and part of the award winning efforts recognized at the 2020 Explore Minnesota Tourism Awards Ceremony.
Nygaard is excited to continue promoting Faribault, and to explore and utilize new tools and resources in that work.
