FARIBAULT SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: The FHS Spanish Department is coordinating a bus for any FHS students to the Old Town Mankato Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration on Saturday, October 29th!

Faribault Senior High School issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.

The FHS Spanish Department is coordinating a bus for any FHS students to the Old Town Mankato Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration on Saturday, October 29th! Día de los Muertos is a holiday celebrated on November 1st and 2nd to honor those that have passed. It is marked with gatherings, ofrendas, traditional foods and decorations, marigolds, etc. Most importantly, it is a joyful celebration. 

The event in Mankato will include traditional foods, dancing, music, art, a maker market, car show, activities, etc. It is a family friendly event. More information can be found at https://www.facebook.com/events/

The bus will leave FHS at 11:00am and return around 3:30pm. The cost to ride the bus is $5.50. Any interested students can sign up via the Google Form on Schoology or with Mrs. Beaupre or Mrs. Sorum in the World Language Department. Money and permission slips are due by the end of the day on Wednesday, October 26th.
