CITY OF RED WING: Disposing of sharps and syringes properly can help keep you, your family, our Waste Campus personnel, and our community safe

1

City Of Red Wing issued the following announcement on Jan. 15.

Disposing of sharps and syringes properly can help keep you, your family, our Waste Campus personnel, and our community safe. Here's how to do so.

• Place used sharps/syringes in a puncture-resistant container. Sharps containers, laundry detergent bottles, or other containers (with tight-fitting lid or cap) made of heavy plastic or metal will work.

• Make sure cap/lid is tightly secured. Use tape if needed to ensure seal. Clearly label the container as "Sharps."

• Bring sharps container to the Waste Campus (1873 Bench St.) for disposal. Do not place in garbage or recycling bins.
