How many Kenyon-Wanamingo School District students took their MCA and MTAS Math tests in 2021-22 school year?

Kenyon-Wanamingo School District ranked fourth in the Goodhue County for test participation, with 350 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Kenyon-Wanamingo School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year fell by 1.7% from the previous year.

Kenyon-Wanamingo School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 35% in 2021-22 school year.

Third grade students stood out with 32% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, 11th-grade students had the most room for improvement, with 55% not meeting the expected standards.

Kenyon-Wanamingo School District encompasses schools within Goodhue County and has a main office in Wanamingo.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
