CITY OF CANNON FALLS: Two Residential Burglaries

Bulgaries

City of Cannon Falls issued the following announcement on Oct. 16.

In the first case, in Riverside Terrace, the suspect was known to the homeowner. The suspect assaulted the residents before fleeing the scene. We are following leads to locate and arrest the suspect. We believe the suspect went back to a south metro city and are working with them to locate the suspect.

At the same time another resident in the 200 block of 2nd St N, heard footsteps in their house and found doors open. Police checked the scene and found no suspect. Nothing was found missing. Officers are looking for residents in the area to check their surveillance video for any suspicious activity around 2am.

We remind residents to lock your doors and windows, remove garage door openers from your vehicles parked outside your garage. Lock your vehicles. Convert outside lights to motion lights.
