Former Zumbrota Mazeppa High School standout Mel Raasch played on Friday, May 16 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division III Softball Championship

On Friday, May 16, former Zumbrota Mazeppa High School standout Mel Raasch’s current collegiate team the Bethany Lutheran Vikings won 1-0 against the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

The game took place at Inspiration Field at 4 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves in the tournament.

The Bethany Lutheran Vikings’ next game will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at Inspiration Field.
