A stay-at-home order was issued by Gov. Tim Walz for Minnesota, effective March 27.

The only services that will remain open are the essential businesses. This also means that businesses like driver's license businesses and registrar offices must close.

Businesses stopped accepting titles, registrations, duplicate titles and more as of March 27. For any items unprocessed, they will be returned by mail as soon as possible. Offices will continue to be staffed for more urgent matters such as tax payments. This also includes vital records. Driver's licenses and marriage certificates are also unable to be processed at this time.

All closures come after a state of emergency was issued for the entire nation due to the coronavirus pandemic. All businesses that are non-essential will remain closed until the stay-at-home order is lifted. Other businesses with limited hours will not change back until the order is lifted.
