Registered sex offenders: Four living in Le Sueur County in Q1

There was the same number of registered sex offenders living in Le Sueur County in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the previous quarter, according to the Minnesota Public Registrant Search.

There are four sex offenders registered in Le Sueur County in the first quarter of 2023.

The Registry shows one of these sex offender is sexual predator. In Minnesota, convicted predatory offenders also are subject to certain mandatory sentencing laws that are designed to minimize their chances to re-offend.

Minnesota legislation about sex offenders and predators is currently being evaluated and revised, such as if offenders with good behavior can be removed from the Registry.

He gained access to the unknown victim by approaching and befriending her while unmonitored in a public space.
Ronald Erwin SchmidtCriminal sexual conduct in the first degree, criminal sexual conduct in the second degreeRonald Schmidt has a history of engaging in sexual contact with two known children. Contact included penetration. Schmidt used force and threats to gain compliance.
Christopher Daniel SchuelerCriminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree, criminal sexual conduct in the second degreeOffender has a history of sexual contact with victims (female, age 15-adult). Contact included fondling and penetration. Offender took advantage of one victim's vulnerable state to gain compliance. Offender was not known to one victim.
Brian Joseph MillerPredatory Offense, non-MN statute, criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degreeBrian Miller has a history of sexual conduct and sexual contact with both known and unknown adult females. Conduct included holding one victim against her will and undressing in her presence. Contact has included sexual touching.
