City of Kenyon issued the following announcement on Dec. 26.
The City of Kenyon is accepting applications for a part-time (25 hours a week) Administrative Assistant. Starting pay is $16.87 per hour. Performs skilled administrative support work maintaining police records, handling confidential information; assisting members of the public over the phone and in person, and related work as needed. Also performs work to assist in the administrative activities of the municipal offices including but not limited to assisting with the utility billing process, payroll, licenses, permits, and other administrative tasks. Minimum Qualifications: High school degree or GED with community/technical college, and/or university course work in an administrative, accounting, finance, or business program and at least three years of experience in a position with similar responsibilities. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Desired qualifications: A.A. or related degree. Administrative/office experience with a government agency. One to three years of administrative assistant experience including regular customer contact with the public. Experience working with computerized/on-line billing and payroll, data base and record keeping systems.
