Montgomery Township issued the following announcement.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant and deep economic trouble to many area businesses. The CARES Act and supplemental acts of Congress were passed to help businesses cope with the massive economic impact that the shutdown of the US economy caused. These were made to be temporary and some of the first loans issued are starting to reach the end of their eight week term. As such, the Montgomery Township Business Development Partnership Committee has put together a panel of specialists who will be able to discuss what you need to know about the CARES Act, as employers as well as employees.
Learn what funds remain available and how you can go about applying for them and what you can do, as a business owner, to lessen the impact that these events have on your employees, even if you had to lay-off or furlough some of them.
Panelists are as follows:
Lisa Martin, Regional Marketing Manager, Costco Wholesale
Ken Frebowitz and David Peritz, CPAs, Herbein + Company
T.R. Johns, Commercial Banking Officer, M&T Bank
J.P. Northrop, Wealth Manager and Financial Advisor, Edward Jones Investments
