City of Elysian issued the following announcement on June 25.
With the absence of the annual July 4th. Celebration, the Elysian Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a July 4th. Lighting contest. The Chamber is asking to light up your home, your trees, shrubs, doorways, be original. Contest prizes for commercial and residential:
First Prize - $50, second prize - $25.00, third prize - $10.00. Judging will be held on Friday, July 3rd.
