CITY OF FARIBAULT: Fall cleanup reminders for Faribault residents

Cleanup

City of Faribault issued the following announcement.

The official fall street cleanup has begun, and you may have noticed the City street sweepers out and about.

Sweepers pick up sand, trash, and debris that accumulates on the streets, keeping it out of storm drains, below ground storm sewer pipes, and the Cannon River.

As the fall cleanup continues, residents are reminded that raking or blowing leaves or debris from your property and into the street is illegal (City Code Section 28-241).

Leaves and branches can be disposed of at the City’s compost site until weather changes and we have to close it for the season. The site is currently open Monday & Wednesday 1-7 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. The closing date for the season is weather dependent, but typically closes mid- to late-November.  Please call the hotline at 507-333-0390 to look for updates.
