On Friday, Jan. 31, former Zumbrota Mazeppa High School standout Avery Steffen’s current college team, the Minnesota State Moorhead Dragons, won 5-4 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Minot State Beavers.

The game took place at MSU Bubble @ Herb Parker Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Beavers this season.

The Dragons’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7 at 8:15 p.m. at Schaeffer Park against West Texas A&M Buffaloes.
